Native 8(A) Program Benefits
TANAQ Technical Services participates in the Native 8(a) Program. The Native 8(a) contracting program in the Small Business Administration, permits enterprises owned by Federal Recognized Tribes, Alaska Native Corporation, and Native Hawaiian Organizations(Collectively “Native Enterprises”) and certified under Section 8(a) of the Act to enter the government’s business development program as a path toward economic success and self-sufficiency.
The benefit of the Native 8(a) contracting program is that it enables government contracting officers and program managers to avoid complex, endless procurement cycles. By employing the Native 8(a) contracting method, government contracting officers can readily access the skills and expertise of TANAQ Technical Services with:
- Faster Procurement Cycles with Decreased Costs – We have a team that will assist the Federal Customer to identify solution requirements, schedule and all associated costs.
- Direct Award Contracting enables agencies to engage with us in direct buy contracts as part of this SBA contracting method.
- Fair Price Contracts. The reduction in procurement process and time to award an 8(a) sole source contract results in lowered administrative costs. Agencies working with us can rest assured that pricing and services reflect the best value possible.
- Tribal Enterprises have additional privileges and may receive a sole source contract up to $25 million, and up to $100 million for DoD contracts, without J&A. Other 8(a) companies can only receive sole source awards up to $4 million ($6.5 million for manufacturing).
